I have never been so sad to go home from a vacation before. This trip to France was not only life changing, but an eye opener as well that I need to work hard so I can afford to take more frequent trips to my favorite place in the world. I never knew I could love a country so much, but France takes the gold medal. There was not 1 second where I wasn't thrilled to be in France, every day waking up I was excited to experience more of the French culture and live like a local. Every day I have flashbacks to my amazing adventure, and I wish this trip didn't have to end. I have never been so sad to leave a group of people I met 11 days ago, everyone in this tour group was wonderful.

I made a promise to myself that I would eat Nutella, French bread and cheese every single day I was in France and I succeeded! I was very surprised to see how many Italian restaurants there were. We went to a restaurant called Little Italy Paris and I had the best pizza I’ve had in my life. Everything was so fresh and each dish I was served was presented like a piece of art.

Since I have returned to the US, nothing tastes as good anymore. I think my taste buds are on a strike and they won't stop until I am back in France. Every bite of food in France was so fresh, so pure, and very visually appealing. I also liked the portion size of everything. I got a sandwich and I could actually eat it like a human - versus in America where I look like a cave man with lettuce falling out and sauce dripping everywhere because its so over-stuffed.

I absolutely took advantage of the shopping in Paris in our down time. When traveling, my motto is "If you see something you like, buy it because you may never see it again". I got a red pea coat in Paris that I have worn every day since we got home. I plan on going back to France in 2025 when the Olympics are over and all of the buildings will be done with construction. In the meantime, a girl can dream!
