Giverny

Monet's Gardens were magnificent. 14 staff members maintain these  vibrant, peaceful, serene gardens, and they are breathtaking. I was excited to see the lily pond and his row boat that he built himself. The giant weeping willow trees looked as if they were out of a painting - they were perfectly shaped. We saw some of his paintings that were displayed in his house, along with his furniture and of course gorgeous flower arrangements.

After touring Monet's gardens and home, we ate lunch in an adorable cafe where I had the best quiche of my life. I felt like I was in another world sitting in the quaint cafe surrounded with vines and lovely flowers eating one of the best meals of my life. When I am having a bad or stressful day, I picture myself sitting in the cafe and all of my problems magically melt away.
